Democrats Fear Obama's AZ Immigration Lawsuit Will Intensify Election Backlash

Democrats, with good reason, are very nervous about the fallout from the Obama Administration’s lawsuit against AZ for trying to beef up Obama’s non existent Homeland Security efforts, and protect their citizens, and the country, from those who break our laws or mean to do us harm.

The Obama Administration would like to keep the US borders open to the daily invasion from illegal immigrants, which also leaves the border wide open for terrorists, drug dealers, human traffickers, and anyone else whose motives are unknown. Democrats with half a brain know that the administration’s AZ lawsuit will make their looses after the next election much worse than they would be without it, and many of the Democrats in Congress are very worried about losing their jobs, as they should be.

In a private meeting with White House officials this weekend, Democratic governors voiced deep anxiety about the Obama administration’s suit against Arizona’s new immigration law, worrying that it could cost a vulnerable Democratic Party in the fall elections.

While the weak economy dominated the official agenda at the summer meeting here of the National Governors Association, concern over immigration policy pervaded the closed-door session between Democratic governors and White House officials and simmered throughout the three-day event.

At the Democrats’ meeting on Saturday, some governors bemoaned the timing of the Justice Department lawsuit, according to two governors who spoke anonymously because the discussion was private.

“Universally the governors are saying, ‘We’ve got to talk about jobs,’ ” Gov. Phil Bredesen of Tennessee, a Democrat, said in an interview. “And all of a sudden we have immigration going on.”

He added, “It is such a toxic subject, such an important time for Democrats.”

The administration seemed to be taking a carrot-and-stick approach on Sunday. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, in town to give the governors a classified national security briefing, met one-on-one with Jan Brewer, the Republican who succeeded her as governor of Arizona and ardently supports the immigration law.

About the same time as that meeting, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said on a taped Sunday talk show that the Justice Department could bring yet another lawsuit against Arizona if there is evidence that the immigration law leads to racial profiling.

Not only is the weak Obama Administration doing everything they can to keep our borders completely wide open, but they have also demonstrated that they have no plans to do anything to help the illegal immigration problem, or stop the flood of people illegally entering our country. Obama would rather grant amnesty to the many millions of illegal immigrants already in the country, and allow millions more to break our laws to enter our country illegally, with no fear of punishment from the weak, terrorist-loving Obama Administration.

Hillary Clinton: Obama Administration To Sue Arizona Over Immigration Law

Hillary Clinton let the cat out of the bag during an interview with an Ecuadorean television station that the ultra-corrupt Obama Administration plans to sue Arizona for doing what Obama and the federal government will not.. Protect our borders and stop illegal immigrants and terrorists from easily strolling across the border into America.

President Obama has spoken out against the law because he thinks that the federal government should be determining immigration policy, and the Justice Department, under his direction, will be bringing a lawsuit against the act.” – Hillary Clinton

“To learn of this lawsuit through an Ecuadorean interview with the secretary of state is just outrageous! If our own government intends to sue our state to prevent illegal immigration enforcement, the least it can do is inform us before it informs the citizens of another nation.” – Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer said Thursday she’s angry over comments by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton that the Obama administration will sue the state over its new immigration law.

In a June 8 media interview in Ecuador that began circulating Thursday in the U.S., Clinton said President Barack Obama thinks the federal government should determine immigration policy and that the Justice Department “will be bringing a lawsuit against the act.”

Justice spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler on Thursday declined to say whether the department would sue and that “the department continues to review the law.”

The department has been looking at the law for weeks for possible civil rights violations, with an eye toward a possible court challenge.

It’s unclear why Clinton made the comment since it’s not her area. She couldn’t be reached Thursday for comment.

State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said Obama and Clinton have both made it clear that the administration opposes the law.

“I will defer to the Justice Department on the legal steps that are available and where they stand on the review of the law,” Crowley said. “The secretary believes that comprehensive immigration reform is a better course of action.”

Brewer, a Republican, said in a statement that “this is no way to treat the people of Arizona.”

“To learn of this lawsuit through an Ecuadorean interview with the secretary of state is just outrageous,” she said. “If our own government intends to sue our state to prevent illegal immigration enforcement, the least it can do is inform us before it informs the citizens of another nation.”

Brewer spokesman Paul Senseman said the governor was “outraged” and that Clinton’s comments make it appear that the Justice Department has decided to file suit.

“But she’s confident that in the end, the state of Arizona, the citizens, will prevail,” he said.

On April 23, Brewer signed what is considered the toughest legislation in the nation targeting illegal immigrants. It is set to go into effect July 29 pending multiple legal challenges and the Justice Department’s review.

The law requires police investigating another incident or crime to ask people about their immigration status if there’s a “reasonable suspicion” they’re in the country illegally. It also makes being in Arizona illegally a misdemeanor, and it prohibits seeking day-labor work along the state’s streets.

The law’s stated intention is to drive illegal immigrants out of Arizona and discourage them from coming in the first place. It has outraged civil rights groups, drawn criticism from Obama and led to marches and protests organized by people on both sides of the issue.

The law’s backers say Congress isn’t doing anything meaningful about illegal immigration, so it’s the state’s duty to address the issue. Critics say it will lead to racial profiling and discrimination against Hispanics, and damage ties between police and minority communities.

Brewer met with Obama in the Oval Office about the law on June 3, telling him: “We want our border secured.” Obama reiterated his objections to the law. Neither side appeared to give ground although both talked about seeking a bipartisan solution.

Other Arizona politicians, political candidates and activist groups were quick to weigh in on Clinton’s remarks. U.S. Senate candidate J.D. Hayworth, who is challenging Sen. John McCain, called them appalling; attorney general candidates Tom Horne and Andrew Thomas also denounced them.

Joanne Lin, legislative counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union, urged the administration to take swift action against the law.

I wonder though is this really a slip up by Hillary Clinton, or was this specifically designed by the liberal Obama think tank to take the heat off Obama for his completely inept handling of the BP Oil Spill Disaster?

Obama’s Weakness On Illegal Immigration Continues Killing Americans

An Illegal Immigrant's Arizona Immigration Law Protest Sign

An Illegal Immigrant's Arizona Immigration Law Protest Sign: GIVE US FREE HEALTHCARE, JOBS-NO TAXES, HOUSE, FOOD, YOU OWE US AMERICA! WE WILL SHOOT MORE POLICE IN ARIZONA UNTIL WE GET FREE!

The complete and utter weakness that Obama has shown in the lack of control over our borders continues to aid the criminals who illegally invade our country to rape and kill Americans.

The Obama Administration’s “New World Order”, which secretly includes an open borders policy, has allowed many violent illegal immigrants to re-enter our country many times or more to rob, rape, and kill citizens of the United States, after being deported.

The Obama Administration will do nothing to stop it because Democrats are desperate for the votes of as many Hispanics that they can get, and they know that if they closed down the illegal border crossings, they would lose some of those votes.

So, in other words, The Obama Administration cares more about holding onto their power than they care about you and your family’s lives and safety.

One woman is dead and two others were raped recently and police say each crime was committed by a different illegal immigrant. One of the sexual assaults happened just hours before the Seattle city council passed an ordinance boycotting Arizona over its new immigration law.

Gregorio Luna Luna had a history of beating up his live-in girlfriend Griselda Ocampo Meza. He was also in the U.S. illegally. On May 1, Luna Luna was deported to Mexico. Three weeks later Meza was murdered in her apartment in a violent knife attack.

Franklin County prosecutors say Luna Luna slipped past the border again and killed Meza in front of their five year old son. He’s in the county jail awaiting trial.

A suspected rapist in Edmonds, Washington has been deported at least 4 times according to Snohomish County prosecutors. Jose Lopez Madrigal has been charged with raping a woman next to a dumpster behind a Safeway store. A witness to the attack alerted police and Madrigal was taken into custody.

An illegal immigrant just convicted of his possible 3rd strike in Whatcom county- a rape of a homeless woman- has been deported to Mexico five times.

Washington State ranks 11th in the nation in the number of illegal immigrants with an estimated 150,000. They make up 2% of the state’s population, but account for 4.5% of those in Washington prisons. In Franklin county, 14% of the jail bookings are illegal immigrants.

Currently, over half of the individuals on the Washington State Patrol’s Most Wanted List are suspected illegal immigrants. 18 of the 26 on the list are Hispanic with no place of birth identified. Most are wanted for vehicular homicide and they have languished on the Most Wanted list for several years.

There are about 50,000 felony warrants currently issued in Washington State and according to a source in the U.S. Marshall’s office between 30-40 percent are believed to be illegal immigrants.

We asked the State Patrol about the immigration status of the most wanted suspects and they told us they didn’t know. Officials say that information is not important in trying to locate the individuals.

The U.S. Marshall’s Service disagrees. Leaders of the region’s fugitive task force say knowing immigration status can be very important to an investigation. In fact, the Marshall’s have an office in Mexico to help with cross-border cases.

Last week, the city of Tacoma joined Seattle in admonishing Arizona for its immigration law. While the council did not go so far as passing a boycott, the ordinance does criticize Arizona for its stand against illegal immigration.

We really should enact the same ultra-strict immigration policy that Mexico uses to keep people from illegally entering their country!
