Liberal Hypocrisy and Lies Coming Back To Bite Democrats

President George W. Bush protected The United States from terrorist attacks for over 7 years, while under Obama we have been attacked at least 3 times in under one year. Just goes to show that Democrats have no clue how to protect our country.

Mr. Obama and the Democrats are all starting to whine and cry about the criticism their party is starting receive for all of their idiotic, ill-conceived, and possibly illegal actions and policies. The Democrats have really screwed themselves in the next election, and probably for years to come, but they only have Obama and their own party to blame.

Funny how things are coming back full circle to bite the butts of the Democrats who started all of the partisan political problems that our country faces today.

Democrats, in their true hypocritical fashion, tried to make it seem that Bush was the only one who thought that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, when in reality many world leaders and most Democrats publicly stated that Saddam had WMD, was a threat to the stability of the region, and a danger to the world.

It was only after the early days of the Iraq war, when no WMD were found, that the Democrats started trying to whitewash and re-write history to falsely accuse President Bush of being an evil tyrant who invaded a country for oil, while absolving themselves from any of the blame.

Seven years ago today, in a speech on the Iraq war, Sen. Ted Kennedy fired the first shot in an all-out assault on President George W. Bush’s integrity. “All the evidence points to the conclusion,” Kennedy said, that the Bush administration “put a spin on the intelligence and a spin on the truth.” Later that day Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle told reporters Mr. Bush needed “to be forthcoming” about the absence of weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

Thus began a shameful episode in our political life whose poisonous fruits are still with us.

The next morning, Democratic presidential candidates John Kerry and John Edwards joined in. Sen. Kerry said, “It is time for a president who will face the truth and tell the truth.” Mr. Edwards chimed in, “The administration has a problem with the truth.”

The battering would continue, and it was a monument to hypocrisy and cynicism. All these Democrats had said, like Mr. Bush did, that Saddam Hussein possessed WMD. Of the 110 House and Senate Democrats who voted in October 2002 to authorize the use of force against his regime, 67 said in congressional debate that Saddam had these weapons. This didn’t keep Democrats from later alleging something they knew was false—that the president had lied America into war.

Senate Intelligence Chairman Bob Graham organized a bipartisan letter in December 2001 warning Mr. Bush that Saddam’s “biological, chemical and nuclear weapons programs . . . may be back to pre-Gulf War status,” and enhanced by “longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies.” Yet two years later, he called for Mr. Bush’s impeachment for having said Saddam had WMD.

On July 9, 2004, Mr. Graham’s fellow Democrat on Senate Intelligence, Jay Rockefeller, charged that the Bush administration “at all levels . . . used bad information to bolster the case for war.” But in his remarks on Oct. 10, 2002, supporting the war resolution, he said that “Saddam’s existing biological and chemical weapons capabilities pose real threats to America.”

Even Kennedy, who opposed the war resolution, nonetheless said the month before the vote that Saddam’s “pursuit of lethal weapons of mass destruction cannot be tolerated.” But he warned if force were employed, the Iraqi dictator “may decide he has nothing to lose by using weapons of mass destruction himself or by sharing them with terrorists.”

Then there was Al Gore, who charged on June 24, 2004, that Mr. Bush spent “prodigious amounts of energy convincing people of lies” and accused him of treason, bellowing that Mr. Bush “betrayed his country.” Yet just a month before the war resolution debate, the former vice president said, “We know that [Saddam] has stored away secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country.”

Top Democrats led their party in making the “Bush lied, people died” charge because they wanted to defeat him in 2004. That didn’t happen. Several bipartisan commissions would later catalogue the serious errors in the intelligence on which Mr. Bush and Democrats relied. But these commissions, particularly the Silberman-Robb report of March 31, 2005, found that the “Bush lied” charge was false. Still, the attacks hurt: When they began, less than a third of Americans believed the charge. Two years later, polls showed that just over half did.

So cry all you want, wussy Democrats. You’re getting a taste of what you deserve, and many of you will be jobless in a few months, undoubtedly making this next election even more sweet.

Rahm Emanuel Expected To Quit Obama Later This Year

Obama's White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel Expected To Quit Obama Later This Year

Most people living in America, besides Obama, are breathing a sigh of relief after hearing that Rahm Emanuel is expected to quit his job as Obama’s White House chief of staff later this year. Obama, on the other hand, is probably not happy about the probable departure of Emanuel, and his administration is probably desperately scrambling at the moment to put a good spin on the news.

Washington insiders say he will quit within six to eight months in frustration at their unwillingness to “bang heads together” to get policy pushed through.

Mr Emanuel, 50, enjoys a good working relationship with Mr Obama but they are understood to have reached an understanding that differences over style mean he will serve only half the full four-year term.

Friends say he is also worried about burnout and losing touch with his young family due to the pressure of one of most high profile jobs in US politics.

“I would bet he will go after the midterms,” said a leading Democratic consultant in Washington. “Nobody thinks it’s working but they can’t get rid of him – that would look awful. He needs the right sort of job to go to but the consensus is he’ll go.”

An official from the Bill Clinton era said that “no one will be surprised” if Mr Emanuel left after the midterm elections in November, when the Democratic party will battle to save its majorities in the house of representatives and the senate.

It is well known in Washington that arguments have developed between pragmatic Mr Emanuel, a veteran in Congress where he was known for driving through compromises, and the idealistic inner circle who followed Mr Obama to the White House.

His abrasive style has rubbed some people the wrong way, while there has been frustration among Mr Obama’s closest advisers that he failed to deliver a smooth ride for the president’s legislative programme that his background promised.

“It might not be his fault, but the perception is there,” said the consultant, who asked not to be named. “Every vote has been tough, from health care to energy to financial reform.

Democrats have not stood behind the president in the way Republicans did for George W Bush, and that was meant to be Rahm’s job.”

There were sharp differences over health care reform, with Mr Emanuel arguing that public hostility about cost should have forced them into producing a scaled down package. Mr Obama and advisers including David Axelrod, the chief strategist, and Valerie Jarrett, a businesswoman and mentor from Chicago, decided to push through with grander legislation anyway.

Mr Emanuel has reportedly told friends that his role as White House chief of staff was “only an eighteen month job” because of its intensity.

I think the real reason why Mr Emanuel is quitting the Obama White House is because he knows that the Obama Administration is on it’s way down in flames, and he wants to get out before they crash and burn, and the Democrat Party self-destructs after the next election.

Obama Spin Machine Working Overtime To Cover Failures

The Obama Administration, who brag about being the most transparent Administration in history, are in panic mode trying to cover up all of Mr. Obama’s many failures.

This is actually the most covert and corrupt Administration in history, not the other way around.

In the days after an oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, the White House faced not only a looming environmental catastrophe, but also a potential public relations disaster.

Aides feared that a story line would take hold that President Barack Obama had responded too slowly to the spreading oil slick, which could damage him politically much as the slow federal response to Hurricane Katrina in 2005 discredited former President George W. Bush.

So as the federal government began reacting to the spreading oil, the White House message machine swung into action, too.

Within hours, it was cranking out a sustained barrage across the broad spectrum of modern media — statements, reports, e-mails, tweets, photos and videos — all punctuated by a high-profile presidential visit to the Gulf followed by an incendiary speech at the White House and a video recap with exclusive behind-the-scenes views of Obama in “West Wing Week,” the White House’s new online program at www.whitehouse.gov.

Whether it’s Obama sitting with one reporter or a statement sent via Twitter, nothing happens by accident. The White House message machinery is a crucial element of the ever-expanding presidency, and like his recent predecessors, Obama uses it to shape public opinion, drive the mainstream media’s agenda and minimize political blowback.

The White House bureaucracy devoted to managing public imagery has been growing since President Richard Nixon created the first office devoted to broad communications strategy in 1969. Obama’s version uses a blend of old and new techniques and technology in an effort to cut through a polarized partisan landscape and a dizzying array of modern mass media that abbreviate attention spans and fracture public attention.

Obama’s White House message machine employs 69 people who are directly involved in some part of the communications effort, at a cost to taxpayers of at least $4.3 million a year. That’s an increase from 47 in Bill Clinton’s White House and 52 in George W. Bush’s.

Those totals don’t include communications staffs at the National Security Council or in Vice President Joseph Biden’s offices, or support staff who are paid out of different accounts.

They also don’t include hundreds of political appointees scattered across cabinet departments and agencies who were hired with approval from the Obama White House and who work with the White House to present a coordinated message, as they did under previous presidents

The Obama Administration even produces their own “news interviews” with government staffers and others who are sympathetic to the Administration’s wishes and needs.

I believe the Bush Administration put out one or two self-produced videos, and they were attacked for it. Where is the outrage against this socialist President who releases a new self-produced cover-up video every day or two?
