Democrats To Bailout Teachers By Cutting Food Stamps

It looks like Obama hates poor people.
Obama and the Democrats continue their economy ruining bailouts by cutting food stamps from needy poor people, in order to bailout the teachers, the powerful Teachers Union, and other federal employees.

$12 billion will be stolen from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program that supports many poor people and their families, and given to teachers who mostly supported Democrats in the last election. Obama and the Democrats have been quickly losing support since taking office, and this action is timed specifically to slow down those losses of support, and give teachers and unions a reason to vote for Democrats in the next election.

Obama and the Democrats know that they are in big trouble in the next election, due to Obama’s job assassinating policies, so they are in a full-court press to try and gain back some of the support they lost from Blacks, Hispanics, Teachers, and unions in general. Obama and the Democrats know that they will lose both the House and the Senate if they don’t do something quick, and it looks like a teacher bailout is the next step in their plan to pull the wool over the eyes of many Americans.

Some Democrats are upset and advocacy groups are outraged over the raiding of the food-stamp cupboard to fund a state-aid bailout that some call a gift to teachers and government union workers.

House members convened Tuesday and passed the multibillion-dollar bailout bill for cash-strapped states that provides $10 billion to school districts to rehire laid-off teachers or ensure that more teachers won’t be let go before the new school year begins, keeping more than 160,000 teachers on the job, the Obama administration says.

But the bill also requires that $12 billion be stripped from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as food stamps, to help fund the new bill, prompting some Democrats to cringe at the notion of cutting back on one necessity to pay for another. The federal assistance program currently helps 41 million Americans.

I guess Obama doesn’t care if the poor people go hungry, as long as he gets more teachers and union members to vote for the them in the next election.

Maxine Waters Faces Three Ethics Violations Charges

Corrupt Democrats Maxine Waters and Charlie Rangel

Corrupt Democrats Maxine Waters and Charlie Rangel

Democrats Charlie Rangel, and now Maxine Waters, are both caught in legal problems after they abused their power. This is still just the tip of the iceberg of corruption in Washington, and especially in the ranks of the Democrat Culture of Corruption.

California Democrat Maxine Waters faces a House trial this fall on three charges of ethical wrongdoing, setting the stage for a second election-season public airing of ethics problems for a longtime Democratic lawmaker.

The charges focus on whether Waters broke the rules in requesting federal help for a bank where her husband owned stock and had served on the board of directors. She denied the charges Monday.

Persons familiar with the case said Waters is accused of violating:

_A rule that House members may not exert improper influence that results in a personal benefit.

_The government employees’ ethics code, which prohibits granting or accepting special favors, for the employee or family members, that could be viewed as influencing official actions.

_A rule that members’ conduct must reflect creditably on the House.

The persons were not authorized to be quoted by name on allegations not yet made public.

The House ethics committee’s announcement comes just days after it outlined 13 charges against Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., including failing to disclose assets and income, delayed payment of federal taxes and improper use of a subsidized New York apartment for his campaign office.

Rangel, the former House Ways and Means Committee chairman who has served for 40 years, faces a trial in the fall.

Democrats face certain losses in the congressional elections, the first midterms for President Barack Obama, and the high-profile trials could further damage the party’s political standing.

Republicans quickly jumped on the latest news. The GOP’s House campaign committee released a statement with the headline: “The Dirty Details: Ethics Office Reveals Waters Charges. Panel Has ‘Substantial Reason to Believe’ Dems Have Another Ethics Problem on Their Hands.”

Waters is a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee, which handled the recent rewrite of legislation that regulates financial institutions and has strong protections for consumers.

Rangel stepped aside in March as the chief House tax writer following a negative report on his conduct in a separate ethics case. In addition to taxes, his committee handles trade, portions of health care reform, Medicare and Social Security.

The charges against Waters were filed July 28 by a four-member investigative panel, but not announced until Monday. An eight-member subcommittee of four Democrats and four Republicans will now conduct the Waters trial. The specifics of the allegations won’t be made public until the panel — four Democrats and four Republicans — hold its still-unscheduled organizational meeting.

Both of these Democrats will try to play the race card to try and get out of their problems, but we know true racism when we see it, and we know abuse of power when we see it as well. This is two accounts of Democrat abusing their power.

Obama Lied About Knowledge of Lockerbie Bomber Release

So now it looks like Obama Administration lied about their knowledge about the release of the Lockerbie terrorist bomber, who was released from prison after serving less than two weeks behind bars for each innocent person he slaughtered.

“Correspondence obtained by The Sunday Times reveals the Obama administration considered compassionate release more palatable than locking up Abdel Baset al-Megrahi in a Libyan prison.”

Obama lied about knowledge of the Lockerbie terrorist bomber's release from prison.

Obama lied about knowledge of the Lockerbie terrorist bomber's release from prison.

Obama wasn’t “surprised, disappointed and angry” as he claimed last week, and the Obama Administration actually tried to block the letter from being made public so they wouldn’t be caught in yet another lie.

As we wrote back on September 7th and 10th 2009:

Correspondence obtained by The Sunday Times reveals the Obama administration considered compassionate release more palatable than locking up Abdel Baset al-Megrahi in a Libyan prison.

The intervention, which has angered US relatives of those who died in the attack, was made by Richard LeBaron, deputy head of the US embassy in London, a week before Megrahi was freed in August last year on grounds that he had terminal cancer.

The document, acquired by a well-placed US source, threatens to undermine US President Barack Obama’s claim last week that all Americans were “surprised, disappointed and angry” to learn of Megrahi’s release.

Scottish ministers viewed the level of US resistance to compassionate release as “half-hearted” and a sign it would be accepted.

The US has tried to keep the letter secret, refusing to give permission to the Scottish authorities to publish it on the grounds it would prevent future “frank and open communications” with other governments.

In the letter, sent on August 12 last year to Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond and justice officials, Mr LeBaron wrote that the US wanted Megrahi to remain imprisoned in view of the nature of the crime.

The note added: “Nevertheless, if Scottish authorities come to the conclusion that Megrahi must be released from Scottish custody, the US position is that conditional release on compassionate grounds would be a far preferable alternative to prisoner transfer, which we strongly oppose.”

Mr LeBaron added that freeing the bomber and making him live in Scotland “would mitigate a number of the strong concerns we have expressed with regard to Megrahi’s release”.

The US administration lobbied the Scottish government more strongly against sending Megrahi home, under a prisoner transfer agreement signed by the British and Libyan governments, in a deal now known to have been linked to a pound stg. 550 million oil contract for BP.

It claimed this would flout a decade-old agreement between Britain and the US that anyone convicted of the bombing would serve their sentence in a Scottish prison. Megrahi was released by Scottish Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill on the grounds that he had three months to live, making his sentence effectively spent.

The US Senate foreign relations committee launched a probe after The Sunday Times revealed this month that Megrahi’s doctors thought he could live for another decade.

A source close to the Senate inquiry said: “The (LeBaron) letter is embarrassing for the US because it shows they were much less opposed to compassionate release than prisoner transfer.”
